Maria Pia (Cocco) Aversa

An icon in hair styling and design of up-do’s, hands made of gold, any strand of hair, any curl, placed to perfection, truly a master of her domain. Maria Pia, founder of Cocco Paradise Spa (Cocco being Maria’s maiden name). It did not start out that way.

For the love of beauty, at the age of 15, Maria’s passion for creating an art of work commenced, creating up-do’s for friends and family when she migrated from Italy. In 1968 educated by an icon himself Martin Parsons, receiving an academy award for her achievements in the creativity of designing hair at the hair design school she attended. Her vision, her dream, her creative passion of beautifying women has come to life.

With the desire to evolve her dream, was to create a spa where women can stay and be pampered in luxury. In 1971 her dream started, opening Mary’s Hairstyling. Over a decade later, through her entrepreneurial endeavors and her passion remaining in her, she increased her business and moved locations and opened Cocco Hair and Esthetics. In 1989 before salon and spa were popular, and as her dream was, she expanded and Cocco Paradise Spa was born.

Her passion and commitment, believing “Women need to look beautiful, elegant and flawless”, this led her to be a part of a few that could provide such devotion. Her success has prevailed, creating a spa so luxurious and so relaxing enticing women and men. A dream became reality and with her dream to continue, passing the triumph to her son Sergio to continue in the legacy; to believe and share in the passion and success!
